Faridkot, May 28
The National Informatics Centre, Faridkot, has been selected among the top districts in the country by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) for its good performance.
Deputy Commissioner Vimal Kumar Setia and district informatics officer Anil Katiyar were awarded by MEity for designing “M-Nivaran” mobile app for the district. The DC said Faridkot made it to the top three among 741 districts across India.
The new app allowed direct connect to the DC and other nodal officers, significantly reducing crowding outside offices and unnecessary movement of public, particularly during the pandemic, he said.
Katyar said there were plans to enhance the app by connecting public to MLA, MP and public representatives to make it more effective and efficient.
