Dr Avon and Dr Akrambir Singh Brar, two such donors were honoured today at the opening of third plasma bank in the state at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital here.

Keeping in view the increasing number of Covid-19 patients in the state, three plasma banks have been established at Faridkot, Amritsar and Patiala. However, these plasma banks are facing acute shortage of donors. The reason cited behind it is the hesitance of recovered patients.
