Bathinda woman cop nabbed with heroin dismissed
Woman constable Amandeep Kaur has been dismissed from service for her alleged involvement in a drugs case, said Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Headquarters Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill
here today.
The development came a day after teams from the Sadar Bathinda Police, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Sadar Bathinda Anubhav Jain, arrested Amandeep Kaur after recovering 17.71 gm of heroin from a black Mahindra Thar, which the latter was driving.
The police teams impounded the vehicle, bearing registration number Punjab-05-AQ-7720. The accused constable was temporarily posted at the Bathinda police lines.
Meanwhile, Gill said Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government had issued strict directives to dismiss any personnel found involved in drugs-related cases.
