Become partners for better governance: DC to students

The district administration has invited school students to become partners in improving functioning of the government.
Interacting with the students at Government Smart High School, Bannawala Hanwanta, Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Senu Duggal sought suggestions from pupils on how the district administration could perform better for the welfare of the people.
The Deputy Commissioner asked students to set goals and work hard for achieving them. She also emphasised on the importance of self-study and encouraged the students to read newspaper daily to stay updated. Duggal also cautioned the students against social evils, especially drug abuse, and informed them about the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan launched in the district.
She also mentioned about the introduction of bag free day in government primary schools on the last Saturday of every month. The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the students to plant saplings to increase green cover in the district.
