Two unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants set a cloth shop on fire at midnight in Jalalabad.
Sources said the masked miscreants sprinkled kerosene at the shop and set it on fire at 2.30 am.
The incident took place on the Railway road where flames quickly engulfed the shop. All cloth material lying in the shop was reduced to ashes in a few minutes.
The incident was captured in a nearby CCTV camera. It is stated that the night watchman deployed in the area tried to chase the miscreants, but the latter fled from the place.
A fire tender was called which doused the fire, but the whole material in the shop had been completely destroyed.
Meanwhile, the local Beopar Mandal announced to shut shops on October 11 if the miscreants were not arrested till October 10 evening.
MLA Jagdeep Goldy Kamboj visited the site and assured the owners and traders of action against the anti-social elements.
