Singh was rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot, where he is undergoing treatment. BJP leaders Sandeep Singh Sunny Brar and district president Gaurav Kakkar visited the hospital to inquire about his condition.

BJP leaders alleged that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party supporters carried out the attack, claiming it was a result of frustration over the BJP’s growing influence in villages and the anticipated victory of their candidate. They also demanded strict action against the culprits.

Faridkot SP(H) Maninder Bir Singh said the incident was not related to the ongoing zila parishad and block samiti elections. He stated that the clash occurred several metres away from the polling booth and appeared to be the result of a personal dispute. Police have initiated an investigation and assured appropriate legal action based on the findings.
