Senior BJP leaders, Rajya Sabha Member Avinash Rai Khanna and National Farmers Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal have hailed the Union Budget as development-oriented, benefiting all sections of society, especially the middle class.
They thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing significant relief to salaried individuals by raising the income tax exemption limit from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, a move they believe will boost economic growth and financial well-being.
The leaders also lauded the budget’s focus on defense, infrastructure, industry, and agriculture. They noted the allocation to medical education, with plans to add 75,000 new seats in medical colleges, as a major step forward.
Additionally, the increased credit card limit for farmers to Rs 5 lakh, crop diversification, digital mapping, and crop insurance were seen as positive measures for the agricultural sector.
Khanna and Grewal praised the budget’s focus on education, skill development, and women’s welfare. They called Prime Minister Modi a visionary leader whose initiatives would lead India toward becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
The leaders emphasised the budget’s support for the IT service sector, digital services, and industries, which they believe will further stimulate the economy.
