Punjab BJP leaders pay tributes to Vijay Rupani
Punjab BJP leaders on Friday paid tributes to former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who was killed in a tragic air crash involving a London-bound Air India plane near the Ahmedabad airport a day ago.
State BJP president Sunil Jakhar and other senior party leaders were present in the programme held in Ludhiana.
Remembering Rupani, they said he was a grassroots leader, who led Gujarat admirably.
Jakhar expressed remorse over the plane crash and extended condolences to families of those killed in the tragic accident.
Others who paid tributes included Punjab BJP co-in charge Narinder Raina, senior leader Manoranjan Kalia, Avinash Rai Khanna, Ashwani Kumar and party MLA Jangi Lal Mahajan.
The former Gujarat Chief Minister was the BJP incharge for Punjab and Chandigarh.
