BKI operative Sachindeep Singh, alias Sachin, of Dialpura village in Ajnala, Amritsar, has been arrested for his involvement in the Nanded murder case. The arrest was made by a team of the Special Operation Cell, Mohali, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
“To escape law, Sachindeep had fled to Thailand. However, the Punjab Police issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him, which led to his detention at the Delhi airport upon his return to India,” said DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The development came within two weeks of the police arresting two operatives — Jagdish Singh, alias Jagga, and Shubhdeep Singh, alias Shubh — of the BKI module in connection with the Nanded murder case and seized two .32 bore pistols and five cartridges from them.
Sachindeep allegedly played a crucial role in the BKI’s terror network, providing shelter, logistical support and financial assistance to operatives working under the command of Pakistan-based terrorist Harwinder Singh Rinda and US-based BKI operative Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passia.
A case was registered at the Mohali SSOC police station on February 21.
