Blue bull gunned down, 7 booked

A blue bull was gunned down by some miscreants near Jhurarkhera village here last night.

Karnail Singh, Buta Singh, Ravinder Singh, Jagsir Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Kala Singh and Satnam Singh, all residents of Dhani Karnail Singh village, have been named in the FIR.

Block officer Anita Rani of the Wild Life Department said state president of Bishnoi Sabha RD Bishnoi informed her about the incident. She, along with beat in-charge Shivalika and other staff, reached Jhurarkhera village and found some persons chopping off the limbs of the slain animal at grain purchase centre. Since it was dark, the wrongdoers took advantage and managed to flee. The team collected the chopped limbs and seized sharp-edged weapons.
