Body recovered from well

Fazilka, March 17

The police today recovered the body of an unidentified person from a well in Mauzam village.

A local noticed the body lying in 10-foot-deep electric motor well on Monday evening and informed the police. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for identification.

Sadar SHO said there were injury marks on the deceased’s lower abdomen.

The police suspect that the man was murdered. A probe is underway.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
