Muktsar: Continuing their protest against the corporate sector, farmers on Thursday snapped the power supply to a cell phone tower of a private company at Shamkhera village here. Further, some farmers, after snapping the power supply, did not allow the company officials to use the genset at Jandwala Charhat Singh village here. Earlier also, in some villages, the farmers had snapped the power supply to some towers. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
