Fazilka: There are reports of a breach in the Moolian Wali minor in Fazilka district. The farmers said agricultural fields on several acres were inundated due to the 20-foot-wide breach in the minor. There have been several breaches earlier too, but no lesson had been learnt from those incidents, farmers added. oc

Ropar: The Association of Surgeons of India, which is celebrating National Surgeons Week, conducted training sessions for people in giving cadio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) here. One such session was held at District Administrative Complex in association with Rotary Club, Rupnagar, and the Govt Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Services at the Civil Hospital, Ropar. A blood donation camp was also organised by the Association of Surgeons, Punjab chapter, at Parmar hospital on Saturday. TNS
