Briefs: Man, son feared drowned in canal
Muktsar: Gurlal Singh (36) and his teenage son from Madhak village in Faridkot district were feared drowned in the Rajasthan Feeder canal near Jhabelwali village in Muktsar district on Saturday. Sources said Gurlal shot a video before taking the extreme step. He named some persons and claimed he was disturbed for the past some time. TNS
Residence of drug trafficker attached
Muktsar: The police on Saturday attached a residence of alleged drug trafficker Tarsem Singh, alias Pamma, of Guri Sanghar village. The police claimed a case under the NDPS Act was registered against Tarsem in Fazilka district in December last year, after nearly one-quintal poppy husk was seized from him. DSP Gidderbaha Avtar Singh said Tarsem had acquired the property using drug money. TNS
