The brother of an AAP sarpanch was shot dead at Shoor Khurd village under the Kalanaur police station here today.
SSP Harish Dayama said the police had rounded up a couple of persons, including a serving Army jawan, and were questioning them. Nirmal Singh, brother of village Sarpanch Gurvinder Singh, was shot dead after he entered into arguments with a group of people over the construction of a village street.

An FIR was registered at the Kalanaur police station. Senior officials rushed to the scene of the crime. “We have taken into custody some persons and are investigating the case. Nirmal Singh and the accused were known to each other. We will be placing the accused under arrest once our investigations are over,” said SSP Dayama.
