BSF intercepts Pakistani drone in Punjab’s Ferozepur
The Border Security Force (BSF) troops have intercepted a Pakistani drone carrying a packet of 498-gram heroin and an empty pistol magazine near BOP Joginder in Punjab's Ferozepur along the India-Pakistan border on Friday, said an official on Saturday.
According to information, the BSF troops deployed on duty at the BOP Joginder heard a buzzing sound of the drone which was entering from Pakistan in India. Following the standard operating procedure, the troops neutralised the drone down by using 'technical counter measures', said the official.
After a search operation was launched, the BSF personnel recovered the drone and also found one packet of heroin and an empty pistol magazine near village Raja Rai here.
The recovered drone has been identified as Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic model, the BSF added.
