BSF recovers 2 kg heroin in Fazilka

The Border Security Force claimed to have recovered 2 kg heroin worth Rs 10 crore in the international market near the Mauzam border outpost in Fazilka subdivision on the intervening night of October 16 and 17.

An official source said personnel of BSF’s 96 Battalion noticed suspicious movement across the barbed wire fencing. On search, two packets containing the drugs were seized from the fields.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
