BSF shoots dead Pakistani intruder along International Border in Punjab’s Pathankot
The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration bid along the International Border in Punjab in the wee hours of Wednesday and shot dead an intruder.
“During pre-dawn on February 26, BSF troops observed a suspicious movement across the border near Tashpatan border outpost in the Pathankot sector,” a BSF officer said.
An intruder was observed crossing the border and was challenged by the troops but he paid no heed and kept on moving ahead.
Sensing a threat troops neutralised him. His Identity and motive is being ascertained and a strong protest will be lodged with Pakistan Rangers, he added.
