BSF shoots down Pakistan drone in Fazilka sector
Fazilka, July 13
The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone on the intervening night of July 12-13 and recovered three pistols and ammunition dropped by the drone in area of Mohar Sona BOP of the Fazilka sector on Saturday.
BSF jawans noticed a drone near the International Border and fired at it. The BSF jawans and Punjab State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), Fazilka, officials launched a search operation in the morning and recovered a packet containing one beretta pistol and two star mark pistols and seven magazines.
MS Randhawa, Officiating Commandant, 66 Battalion said the BSF is committed to check the smuggling of drugs and arms from the neighbouring country.
