Muktsar: One Narinder Singla ended his life here on Sunday. He left a suicide note, alleging he had lent Rs 85 lakh to Dr Rajender Bansal and his wife for a deal of 5-acre, but the couple neither sold the land nor returned his money. The police have booked the couple. TNS
Ropar MC passes resolution to waive water charges
Ropar: The Municipal Council (MC) on Monday passed a resolution to waive water and sewerage charges for houses smaller than five marlas in plot size. The Congress, which won 17 of the 21 wards, had promise waiver during the civic body elections in February. TNS
