Capt Amarinder: Will form government with BJP, Akali faction

Former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Monday said his party will form the next government in the state along with the BJP and a breakaway Akali faction.

Capt Amarinder, who held a meeting with Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar here, said it was a courtesy call.
Talking to mediapersons outside the Haryana CM’s residence, the former CM said: “God willing, we and with our seat adjustment with the BJP and with Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s party (SAD Sanyukt), we will form the government.” He said in the coming days, he would meet BJP leaders in Delhi for a seat-sharing arrangement for the Punjab elections. Capt Amarinder’s meeting with Khattar comes on a day when a Bill to repeal the three farm laws was passed by Parliament. He said the three laws had been repealed, adding the Centre had agreed to other seven issues raised by farmers. — TNS
