Car hits vehicles, locals thrash occupants

Sangrur: A car hit many vehicles between the Mahavir Chowk and the Railway overbridge on the Dhuri road on Wednesday. Later, locals caught two car occupants near Gurdaspura village and started thrashing them. “The persons in the car hit many vehicles, including bikes and scooters for 1 km,” said Harbans Singh, who was injured in the incident. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
