Three members of a family, including two sons and their mother, were killed after the car, in which they were travelling, hit a standing truck on the Sangrur-Barnala road, near Mastuana Sahib. Another family member was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital at Patiala.

ASI Gurjeet Singh, posted at the Badrukhan police post, said Muzaffarnagar residents, identified as Narmohan Singh, his wife Jaswinder Kaur and two sons Lavdeep Singh and Mandeep Singh were travelling to Bathinda. “In the wee hours today, when the car, in which they were travelling, reached near Mastuana Sahib, it rammed into a standing truck from the back side. Jaswinder Kaur and her sons died on the spot, while Narmohan was undergoing treatment. We are conducting investigation,” he said.
