The Mansa police today filed a case against Manjinder Singh, also known as Manjinder Makha, the author of a book on the life of the late Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala. The book, which details Moosewala’s life, is accused of publishing false and defamatory information.
The FIR was lodged following a complaint from Moosewala’s father, Balkar Singh. In his complaint, Balkar Singh alleged that Manjinder Singh, under the guise of building trust, visited their home and took pictures of his son, Shubhdeep Singh (Sidhu Moosewala). Singh accused the author of misrepresenting Sidhu Moosewala in the book by linking him to major political figures and gangsters, which he believes was an attempt to tarnish his son’s reputation.
