New Delhi, November 30

Among states and UTs in the northern region, that were supplied fertilisers by the Centre, Punjab has got the maximum share.

As per the Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister, the Centre has provided the states with fertilisers more than their share of demand in 2020-21, and during this fiscal till November 25.

As per a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in 2020-21, Punjab was supplied 32.85 LMT of urea and 10.55 LMT of phosphorus and potassium as against the demand of 28.30 LMT and 10.51 LMT respectively. In 2021-22, it was provided with 23.63 LMT of urea and 10.64 LMT of phosphorus and potassium as against the demand of 20.75 LMT and 10.35 LMT respectively. — TNS
