A body of a 46-year-old man was found with injury marks on his neck in fields of Gaggon village near here on Thursday.
The deceased has been found as Manjit Singh, a resident of Salempur village.
According to Station House Officer Rupinder Singh, it was prima facie a case of murder as the strangulation marks have been found on the neck of the deceased.
A case has been registered.
