Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) seized about 1.6 kg of narcotics along the International Border in the Ferozepur sector on Monday. “Troops deployed along the border near Gandhu Kilcha village in Ferozepur foiled a smuggling bid. Some miscreants had thrown contraband over the fence on the morning of April 10," a BSF officer said. TNS

Two minor girls kidnapped

Moga: Two minor girls have allegedly been kidnapped on pretext of marriage in separate incidents, the police said on Monday. A local youth, Sandip Kumar, allegedly kidnapped 17-year-old Mamta Rani. In another incident, one Akash Singh, along with the two others, kidnapped Sukhwinder Kaur (15). TNS
