Former Cabinet minister Anil Joshi, who recently joined the Congress after leaving the SAD, joined the ongoing war of words among his party leaders by speaking against Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu.
She had claimed that former SAD leader Anil Joshi allegedly paid money to secure entry into the Congress, but was now “frustrated” and seeking a return to the SAD. Joshi has firmly denied Navjot Kaur’s recent claim that he was preparing to return to the SAD, the party he left to join the Congress a few years ago. Joshi dismissed her remarks as completely unfounded. He clarified that he had no plans whatsoever to rejoin SAD and termed Navjot’s assertion “baseless and misleading”.
Joshi, once an aide of cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu after he joined politics as a Lok Sabha candidate from Amritsar, turned his bête noire. Joshi, on Wednesday, announced that he would file a case against Navjot Kaur for levelling baseless allegations against him. “I will take her to court after filing a legal notice,” added Joshi.
