The Ludhiana police on Friday filed a chargesheet against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, former Punjab Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu and former legislator Sanjay Talwar in a case involving the charge of using criminal force to deter a public servant from duty.
The case pertains to an incident on February 27, 2024, when Bittu, a Congress leader then, stormed a Ludhiana Municipal Corporation office along with party leaders Ashu and Talwar.
The leaders had allegedly clashed with the police and locked the gate of the civic body’s Zone A office.

The chargesheet was submitted in a local court in the absence of the accused.
Following its, Judicial Magistrate Jugraj Singh directed all accused to appear before it on March 17.
