“I am distributing appointment letters to 281 youths. This is a testament to my government’s commitment to provide jobs in a fair and transparent manner,” said Mann.

Addressing a gathering, the CM said the corrupt and regressive policies of previous regimes had jeopardised the future of the state’s youth. He said many young people received jobs late because earlier governments had shown no real concern for employment generation, betraying the people of Punjab.

Mann asserted that while the families of political leaders were well-settled, they left no stone unturned to damage the careers of ordinary youth.

The CM highlighted that his government had recruited 54,141 candidates across various departments since April 1, 2022. He said with the current batch, the figure had now reached 54,422.

He said the jobs had been given purely on merit, with candidates being recruited only after clearing competitive exams.
