Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann honours 44 JEE (Advanced) toppers
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday felicitated 44 government school students who have cleared the prestigious JEE (Advanced) examination recently.
Addressing them, the CM said the students of Punjab possess an indomitable spirit to succeed. He said the “Sikhiya Kranti” had provided them with the necessary support to excel in various fields. “These students are now scripting new success stories every day and bringing laurels to the state,” the CM added.
He emphasised that the main aim of “Sikhiya Kranti” was to make Punjab a frontrunner in the field of education. He expressed immense pride and satisfaction that the initiative was yielding outstanding results, with students proving their mettle across domains. Mann said the state would continue to introduce educational reforms to further empower the youth.
Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said the government had set an ambitious target to double the number of government school students securing admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology in the coming session.
