Blurb: Stays back till midnight to personally review arrangements; Inauguration next month

CM Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday night visited the upcoming theme park at Chamkaur Sahib to take first-hand information regarding preparations for its inauguration scheduled next month. He inspected all galleries and shows during his four-hour stay at the complex till midnight.
The park, christened as Dastan-e-Shahadat, is built in commemoration of the life and sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh’s elder sons Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh.
The first-of-its-kind theme park, a religious and recreational facility of international standards, has been constructed at Rs 55 crore. The park has 11 galleries to exhibit films, including on the Sikh philosophy, the massacre of Chamkaur Sahib, the departure of Guru Gobind Singh from the Anandpur Sahib fort to the separation at Sarsa river, the story of supreme martyrs Chhote Sahibzadas and Banda Bahadur’s march towards Punjab and the restoration of the Sikh empire.
The CM personally reviewed all films from 8 pm to midnight and issued directions to the authorities concerned to make necessary changes. He also directed to plant trees as well as streetlights on the road leading to the theme park.
