Around 50-60 teachers from the district marched to Sangrur to show solidarity with Singla, as his struggle for the rights of computer teachers in the state entered its 119th day. These teachers have been staging protests in front of the DC office in Sangrur.

Jaswinder Singh, a teacher from Ludhiana, said, “A total of 119 days of protests, no AAP leader has spoken up for us,” Singh said, referring to CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s lack of response.

The teachers said they are not asking for new benefits but for the state to honor its promises made in regularisation orders. They demand full implementation of benefits under the Sixth Pay Commission, timely and unconditional payments and inclusion into the Education Department.
