The Congress will organise protests at the block level across the state on Monday over the alleged “anti-people policies” of the Narendra Modi government. This will be the final phase of the stir launched by the party earlier this month. It had held a protest at the district headquarters this month on issues related to pricerise, denial of jobs thatthe National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had promised to youth, recession in industry etc. Punjab Pradesh Congress Committe president Sunil Jakhar has exhorted party workers to ensure sufficient participation at the dharna (sit-in) to be staged on Monday. — TNS
