Faridkot, July 25
Amid the allegations of substandard food items being supplied to pregnant, lactating women and children through anganwadi workers, officials of the Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development today inspected food items supplied under the Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) in Faridkot.
The officials inspected the SNP feed at several anganwadi centres, including Bajigar Basti, Balbir Basti, Gobind Nagar, Pakka and Golewala villages of the district. Minister Dr Baljit Kaur said there would be no compromise on the quality of food items supplied under the SNP.
