Cops join hands with Kanganwal School to promote SPC scheme

The authorities at Government Smart Senior Secondary School, Kanganwal pledged to actively participate in events initiated by the Malerkotla District Police under the Student Police Cadet (SPC) Scheme. The commitment was made during a function organised by the school, led by SP (H) Swaranjit Kaur.

In charge District Sanjh Kendra, Surinder Pal Singh Sidhu shared that the SPC scheme involves various activities aimed at sensitizing students about education’s significance and preparing them for responsible citizenship. These includes workshops, seminars, and visits to police stations, cyber cells, forensic labs, and traffic departments.

SP (H) Swaranjit Kaur, addressing the students emphasised, “We have developed a comprehensive plan to organize workshops and seminars in educational institutes about the importance of education and knowledge for the future of students.”

During the event, students presented SP Kaur with charts on drug abuse, prepared under the teacher’s guidance. Outstanding participants in a painting competition on drug abuse and a declamation contest on social evils were also facilitated.
