Counselling help desks launched for students ahead of board exams
In preparation for the upcoming CBSE, PSEB, and ICSE board exams, the district administration has launched a counselling program to support students in Classes 10 and 12.
The initiative aims to help students manage stress, create effective study plans, and reduce exam-related anxiety. Students from Classes 8 to 12 can seek career-related and psycho-social counselling by calling the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises helpline at 9915789068.
District Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney and Tirthpal Singh, CEO of DBEE, emphasised the importance of open communication between parents and students to help reduce stress.
The CBSE has also launched its Psycho-Social Counselling program nationwide, starting February 1 and continuing until April 4, 2025.
This initiative includes before-and-after exam counselling services and a 24/7 Interactive Voice Response System at 1800-11-8004 for tips on exam preparation, time management, and stress relief.
Trained counsellors, principals, and psychologists will be available to provide free support to students dealing with academic or emotional concerns.
