In a statement, Cheema claimed that the Covid care centres in Bathinda, Mansa and Sanghera (Barnala) were in a pitiable condition, where doctors and paramedical staff were fighting the big battle against the epidemic without essential safety kits.

He said that the patients suffering from other ailments were suffering due to acute shortage of medicines at these centres, which was a bigger worry.
