Crusher owners operating in Nangal, Anandpur Sahib file plea over ‘goonda tax’

In a complaint filed with Nangal DSP, a copy of which is available with The Tribune, the stone crusher owners have identified the accused as Inder Pal Singh.
The traders have submitted cellphone number and call recordings of the accused with the police.
Ropar SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana admitted that they had received a complaint from stone crusher owners. He said the police had summoned the accused and the complainants to verify the facts.
The stone crusher owners also submitted a complaint with Nangal SDM Sachin Pathak, who heads the Mining Monitoring Committee.
Pathak said he had received the complaint and he would summon the accused to unravel the truth. He said legal action would be taken against him in case the allegations were found to be true.
