Chandigarh: Punjab on Thursday announced the appointment of media veteran Sandeep Goyal as the first chief executive officer (CEO) of the Punjab CSR Authority, which has been tasked with the responsibility of attracting corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from industry and streamlining of the CSR activities. The CEO will report to the Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Punjab. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
