Child Helpline Coordinator Trilok Verma said they received information that the people of a community had arranged the marriage of a minor girl, so a team reached the venue and the girl’s parents were not able to present a valid ID to prove the girl was over 18.

The CWC said according to her Class 5 marksheet, the girl was born in May 2008. The police have been asked to keep a check on the family. — TNS
