In a separate incident, two bikers snatched a mobile phone from a woman on circular road in Abohar. Prabha Rani, the victim, stated in her complaint that she was traveling from her home in Indira Nagari to Jain Nagari for some work on an e-rickshaw. As she passed a bank near street 6 on circular road, two youths on a bike forcibly took her mobile phone. Although she resisted, they managed to snatch the phone and fled the scene. Rani raised an alarm, but the robbers escaped through nearby streets. Notably, a permanent police checking naka is situated outside street 12, just a short distance from the location of the incident.

Residents of Abohar have expressed concerns over the rising incidents of snatching and thefts in the city, most of which have reportedly gone unaddressed by the police. Local authorities cited difficulties in increasing patrols due to insufficient staff.
