In the wee hours, a tractor-trailer laden with wood developed some snag while crossing a bridge on the Abohar-Sriganganagar highway near Kallarkhera village. Its driver left the vehicle on the roadside and went somewhere. Later, when Ayub Khan, the driver of the truck carrying salt from Phalodi to Amritsar, was crossing the bridge, he could not see the tractor parked on the road due to dense fog. It rammed into the tractor-trailer due to which the front part of the truck was badly damaged while Ayub suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Abohar Civil Hospital.

In another incident, two cars collided head-on due to fog at Killianwali bypass chowk. Both vehicles got badly damaged. No one was found in the cars and no information was available about the whereabouts of the occupants.
