The Phillaur administration and the police launched a manhunt for him. Apra DSP Sarwan Singh Bal said, “The youth was depressed. He had only gone to visit relatives. Since he didn’t tell his mother, they thought he had gone missing. Police teams are at his home and he is with them.”

Davinderjit’s father had passed away some years ago. The family had spent lakhs to send him abroad. They informed that Davinderjit had left his home for Dubai two months ago. Later, they came to know that he had reached US.
