Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has in principal agreed to establish a mini-court complex at Ghara village Upparla in the sub-mountainous area of Dhar block in the district.

On January 23, former Union minister Ashwani Kumar had written a letter to the Chief Minister raising the demand for the complex.

Kumar said several delegations had met him on his recent tour of Dhar.

“Residents complained that they had to travel a long distance to the judicial complex in Pathankot for their legal matters. Being a kandi area, it has a difficult terrain. Hence, people find it difficult to visit Pathankot. I took up the matter with the CM, who has kindly agreed to the demand,” he said.

On January 27, Capt Amarinder had replied to Kumar saying, “I am asking the Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Home Affairs and Justice to look into the matter for necessary action.”
