Dismissed constable Amandeep Kaur, known as ‘Insta Queen’, arrested from singer Afsana Khan’s sister’s house
Amandeep Kaur, a former constable with the state police who rose to fame on social media as ‘Insta Queen’, was arrested today by the Vigilance Bureau (VB) in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
She was taken into custody from the residence of Raftar Khan, the elder sister of singer Afsana Khan, at Badal village in Muktsar district.
Sources in the VB said that during the investigation, they found Amandeep had amassed assets worth approximately Rs 31 lakh more than her known sources of income between 2018 and 2025.
“Despite being summoned twice during the probe, she failed to appear before the authorities,” said a senior officer of the bureau.
Kulwant Singh, DSP, Vigilance Bureau, Muktsar, said, “A case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against dismissed constable Amandeep Kaur at the Vigilance Bureau police station in Bathinda.”
The arrest comes on the heels of an earlier case, where Amandeep was arrested after 17.71 gm of heroin was allegedly found in her Thar jeep during a search on Badal Road in Bathinda last month.
She was subsequently dismissed from the police service and the vehicle was impounded.
