Days after former MLA Ravinder Singh Sandhu died of dengue, Amardeep Singh Shergill (58), president of the district consumer court, has succumbed to the virus.
As per information, Amardeep Shergil was admitted to a private hospital in Chandigarh a few days ago after his health deteriorated. While Shergill belonged to Gurdaspur district, he was staying in Mohali for the past few years. A few days ago, his son had left for Canada for higher studies, while his daughter is practising law at Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. Bar Association president Jasdeep Singh Kamboj has mourned Shergill’s demise.
