Muktsar, August 8

The health authorities today directed a psychiatrist, who is posted at the Civil Hospital here, to perform duty at the Malout Civil Hospital for two days a week.

The directions came after The Tribune, in its August 7 edition, reported that the Malout de-addiction centre, which is part of the Civil Hospital, has been non-operational.

Dr Ranju Singla, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Muktsar, said: “Dr Rahul Jindal, a psychiatrist who is posted at the Muktsar Civil Hospital, has been asked to perform duty at the Malout Civil Hospital every Tuesday and Friday.”
