The show was part of Dosanjh’s ‘Born to Shine’ world tour being organised by a music company. The FIR has been lodged under Sections 336 (endangering life) and 188 (disobedience) of the IPC at Satnampura police station.

As per the FIR, Dosanjh’s helicopter failed to land at the designated helipad on the university campus, where security arrangements had been made. “Instead, the pilot took 2-3 rounds of the venue and landed the helicopter in the ground of Sector 55 in an unauthorised manner. There was a lot of crowd at the ground and it was unsafe. People ran towards the chopper as it landed, posing serious risk to their lives,” stated SI Balwinder Rai in his police report.

Also, the music company had been given permission by the district officials to organise the event from 8 pm to 10 pm, but it went on till 11 pm, which went against the norms. The orders of the SDM were not followed, the FIR reads.

Dosanjh, who is currently on a tour, had even shared the videos of his performance on his social media accounts. The singer hails from Dosanjh Kalan village, which is close to the concert venue.
