At a general body meeting of the Old Students’ Association of Government Ranbir College, Sangrur, Dr Surinder Singla, a retired Assistant Civil Surgeon, has been unanimously elected as president. The association named as ‘Ranbir Alumni Club Sangrur (RACS) is a registered body with the principal of the college as its patron.

Other office-bearers elected unanimously are Major Singh Chatha as senior vice-president, Amanjot Singh vice-president, Rupinder Kumar Sharma secretary, Simranjit Kaur cashier, Navdeep Kler joint secretary. The executive committee members are Ravicharan Singh Deol, Ravinderpal Singh, Iqbal Singh, Sanveer Singh, Kuldeep Kumar and Reetinder Kaur.

Dr Singla said the association would lay stress on membership drive so that former students are motivated to be the members of the RACS. — OC
